Covid

The lockdown period during the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in isolation and a loss of access for artists to studio spaces. Different methods of connection had to be explored and I started a postal drawing between Pollen members, and a postal exchange of drawing between myself and Maria Horvathova, which still continues.

Online sharing turned into projects and I discovered the Brooklyn Art Library and made a contribution to their archive.

The drawings below were all produced at my kitchen table. Some drawings were inspired by the walks we were allowed out for, some about mood and some just for fun.

I had to repair the padding in my Captain’s Chair, the original sponge disintegrated. The Captain’s Chair was the chair I liked in college and I used it the whole way through the degree course, bringing it home to be my work chair after graduation. I am still using it today.
